Abstract
Specific processes of fungal wood decay will be investigated. Research will be focused on determination of ectoenzymes (cellulases and oxidases) and their activity. The activity will be studied by determination of decay products (secondary metabolites, acids, sugars, carbon dioxide), pH and oxygen consumption. On the basis of specific biochemical decay processes, specific inhibitors will be investigated. These inhibitors can be used as potential chemical wood preservatives.
