Abstract
In patients, included in program of assissted reproduction, sperm abnormalities - abnormal sperm chromatin condensation, sperm deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) fragmentation, chromosomal abnormalities, apoptosis (programmed cell death) will be investigated in association with classic parameters of sperm quality (sperm concentration, number, motility, morphology) and ultrastructural changes of spermatozoa (nucleus, cell organels, membranes). Then the impact of investigated sperm abnormalities on fertilization, embryo development, and embryo quality in program of in vitro fertilization (IVF) will be evaluated. The impact of environmental effects and life-style on observed parameters of sperm quality will be evaluated by the questionnaire.
