Abstract
Water management can be successful only if it is based on an expert foundation of quality. We shall test the characteristics and utility of the method in the proposed project which allows for the determination of the features of the genesis and functioning of karst aquifers by intertwining a wide spectrum of karstological research. We shall upgrade basic karstological research by developing a new method of preparing the vulnerability maps of aquifers that will represent the foundation for planning water management. We will use numerical hydrological models adjusted to karst conditions.
