Abstract
In this project the ability of nickel-base superalloys for continuous casting and the influence of the processing parameters on the microstructure formation and developement during continuous casting and subsequent heat treatment are investigated. The important objective is to provide predominantly unidirectional solidification of investigated alloys during vertical continuous casting and to optimize further heat treatment to obtain desired properties. Also will be determined mechanical properties of continuous cast bars are their relation with microstructure.
