Abstract
During the preparation of donor-doped BaTiO3 PTCR ceramics, a semiconducting (reduced) form is obtained by sintering at high temperatures, which is afterwards reoxidized during cooling. The knowledge regarding the reduction - reoxidation process is very important for understanding of the PTCR effect, as well as for engineering of BaTiO3 - based functional ceramics, especially the PTC resistors. The aim of the project proposal is to study the microstructural changes during reduction-reoxidation process in donor-doped BaTiO3 and to correlate results of this study with the electrical properties of the donor-doped BaTiO3 ceramics.
