Abstract
The project deals with the problems associated with the development of multicast routing and rerouting algorithms in communication networks. Taking into account different network environments, lack of centralised information about network topology and quality-of-service requirements, the objectives of the project are new or improved multicast routing and rerouting algorithms. The emphasis will be given on their effective distribution among the network nodes and on the integration of the routing algorithms with the mechanisms that provide quality-of-service guarantees.
