Abstract
The Research Project is to deal with some basic questions referring to the history of the Slovene western frontier. Its prime aim, however, is to analyse some new, till now unknown and until recently inaccessible archive sources and materials. The analysis is to supplement our knowledge gained in this field so far. The other significant feature of the research will be certain collations of the historical research in the entire Slovene ethnic territory and is to surpass all the previous debates on a number of historical events from the aspect of ethnocentric viewing of Sloene history.
