Abstract
The aim of the project is the synthesis together with structural, biopharmaceutic and microbiological assessment of the properties od metal-quinolone compounds. Transport properties and therapeutic potential of compounds of the fluoroquinolone type that are bound in a complex with metal atoms potentially exerting synergistic effects will be studied. Special interest will be put on the influence of the presence and the type of metallic atom in in vitro and ex-vivo systems on the rate and extent of the transport of the quinolones accross biologic membranes.
