Abstract
Georgaphycal diversity of Slovenia reflects also in exeptional diversity of its lakes. Unfortunately slovenian lakes are poorly researched. Preliminary data show that the majority of lakes are in bad condition due to the human impact. The basic purpuse of the project is to inventory the state of the art of some threatened slovenian lakes and operationalise their protection on the base of their natuaral condition. The results of the project will be important for slovenian limnology and will also be usefull for the number of interested users.
