Abstract
The research will contain historical topographical and toponymical names and historical cartography of Slovenian ethnical regions. The main source for the names will bi the toponymy of the Joseph II Land Survey from the years 1763-1787 (1804) and the manuscript documents from 1243-1500. Besides publishing the toponymy, the project will also contain the source itself, i.e. the original descriptions and the maps of the Joseph II Land Survey covering the area of the present-day Slovenia. The topographical and toponymical studies will serve for the production of historical maps of Slovenian ethnical regions.
