Abstract
The project is based on doctor''s disertation which analysed the Swedish multiculturalism throught the situation and life of Slovene emigrants in Swedish society/culture. The project is focused on the Slovenes in Sweden: historical overview of their settlement, employment and the organisation of Slovene emigrat societies; later conection with the society Yugoslav union and branching-of from it (that was accompanied with demonstration and support to the emancipation of Slovenia in the nineties); the analyses of the situation of Slovenes in Sweden compared to others imigrants societies, within the multicultural model of its migration policy (social and professional stratification); the attitude of the (un)official Slovene (Yugoslav) politics towards Slovene emigrants in Sweden. We assume that official Slovene (Yugoslav) policy, because of social state and democracy, which were much more developed in Sweden, has ''silently renamed'' the economical emigrants to political emigrants. The analyse itself might round up and fulfill the image of life and positions of Slovene emigrants as within Swedish society as with the connection with homeland.
