Abstract
The first part of the proposed project includes research into the operation, control and structure of modern compensation devices which are based on an IGBT converter. Development of new control algorithms for converters and converter structure which will be tested on developed laboratory models is planned. Using digital simulation and mathematical analysis to solve problems connected with electrical power quality, primarily harmonics propagation in a network, constitutes the second part of the project.
