Abstract
In arrhythmias with suspected right atrial or left ventricular origin, high density multisite mapping will be performed to study the arrhythmia origin and mechanism; specific transcatheter or surgical treatment will be planned accordingly. The restenosis rate after stenting using PC coated and non-coated stents will be compared. The interindividual tissue responsiveness will be neutralised using both kinds of stents in the same patient with 2 vessel disease. We will study the severity of peripheral and coronary atherosclerosis in patients with the first clinical manifestation of coronary artery disease from the gene variability view point. We will try to clinically define atrial myopathy and use a proper therapy in such patients. We will observe the values of heart rate variability, which alerady have predictive power for risk stratification after AMI, study of pharmacological and other therapeutic influences on heart rate variability will be performed. We will analize the effect of cardioversion of atrial fibrillation on left ventricular function in dilated cardiomyopathy
