Abstract
The aim of this research project is to analyze factors which define contemporary notions of Slovenian national identity, focusing on those which have been underemphasized, particularly the role of economics as a social sphere. This project will analyze the role that economists -- experts who were accorded a crucial role in the formation of the Slovenian nation -- have in the construction of images of ideal Slovenian national identity.
