Abstract
Proposal of a specific applied project is orientatied toward new products and processes. They are inevitable in terms of stimulation strategy in global market competition and growth of economy on the field of ecology, textile technology and textile and clothing design. Its identity is progressively connected to digital design of textile patterns, printing and other finishing methods determined by international standards of textile quality. Direct or transfer ink-jet digital textile printing creates new possibilities of textile patterns'' design. Patterns could include a whole range of colours. A largeness of motifs is not limited. Visual variables could be moderated easily and quicly. Various examples of textile prints are closely related to various collections of clothing design. The latter as well as textile qualities itselves represent new proposals for larger industrial production in Slovenia. The results will be coordinated with design reseach groups in Helsinki and Copenhagen.
