Abstract
Compatibility of various surface coatings for wood with new generation wood preservatives will be studied. New biocide formulations contain triethanolamine triborate and other boron, copper and/or zinc based active compounds. We will investigate the influence of various surface coatings on properties of impregnation formulations, such as leachability, fungicidal and insecticidal activity, etc.). On the other hand, influence of biocides in impregnated wood on characteristics of surface coatings (viscosity, adhesion, hardness, gloss and colour) will be investigated as well.
