Abstract
The project is oriented into the promotion of the utilization of X-ray fluorescence analytical technique in those fields, which would benefit from the technique’s advantages such as simultaneous and fast multielemental analysis, adequate sensitivity and accuracy, environmentaly very friendly sample preparation techniques, etc. These objectives are to be realized by employing all up to date achievements in this field. It is planed to introduce a sensitive technique of Total reflection X-ray fluorescence and develop for the routine users an instrument which would strongly compete in price with similar systems available in the market. The mentioned advantages in analytical work and especially the fast analysis of large number of samples would obviously contribute to statistically well founded assessments of the status of environment, which is also of general interest.
