Abstract
The problematic of ''''limits of philosophy'''' is analyzed from the perspective of three fields which can be described, on the general level, as epistemology, ethics and aesthetic. As to the first field, the research focuses on the relationship between cognitive subject and the subject of the unconscious. As to the second field, the main theme concerns the relation between the law and the act (in the emphatic sense of the word), as well as the relation between knowledge and act. The third field is the field of the investigation of the philosophical theory(s) of aesthetics and, at the same time, of the ''''philosophy as aesthetics'''' (Nietzsche''s philosophy, which is also often said to represent a certain ''''limit'''' of philosophy).
However, the main axis or limit that structures this project and traverses all three fields mentioned above, is the limit between philosophy and theoretical psychoanalysis (especially the work of J. Lacan). The latter represents a serious challenge for the contemporary philosophy, since it occupies and conceptualizes a considerable part of what was traditionally considered to be the philosophical field.
