The LLMs4EU project aims to preserve Europe’s linguistic and cultural diversity in the digital age by uniting key economic and academic actors in generative AI. It seeks to openly provide LLMs and essential tools in all EU languages, building on existing European programmes and expertise. These tools will support companies across all stages, from training LLMs to ensuring compliance with EU legislation.

The LLMs4EU project is important for Slovenia’s development as it provides access to large language models (LLMs) and essential tools in all EU languages, including Slovenian. It strengthens the digital and AI competencies of Slovenian companies and researchers, fostering the development of innovative solutions in generative artificial intelligence. The project also supports the use of these tools in compliance with EU legislation, enhancing the competitiveness of Slovenian businesses while contributing to the preservation of Slovenia’s linguistic and cultural diversity in the digital age.
