eXplore & Reuse 3D cultural heritage within the Data Space

The XRculture project aims to enrich the European data space for cultural heritage (DSCH) through innovative 3D, AI-based digitization methods and Extended Reality (XR). Focused on creating high-quality 3D models with advanced AI techniques, XRculture addresses key areas like preservation, education, and tourism, and establishes best practices for emerging technologies in the cultural heritage sector.

The project is of significant importance for the development of Slovenia, as it contributes to the enhancement of technological solutions and tools that enable the creation of Extended Reality (XR) experiences and their integration with other advanced technologies. Through this, the project promotes: - the development of digital and XR competencies in Slovenia, - the strengthening of innovation potential in the fields of cultural heritage, tourism, and education, - the connection between the research, technological, and cultural sectors, - and the increased inclusion of Slovenia in the European digital and cultural space. The project thus directly contributes to the digital transformation and sustainable development of Slovenia’s cultural and technological environment.
