Abstract
The project aims to develop a universal mobile multi-arm robotic system (MMARS) for plant and produce monitoring and manipulation operations, with the end-of-project performance matching that of operation-specific state-of-the-art solutions.
Significance for the country
The project holds great significance for Slovenia’s development, as it represents an important step in connecting advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, and sustainable agriculture. By developing a universal mobile multi-arm robotic system, Slovenia would strengthen its position in high technology and encourage closer cooperation between research institutions and industry.
Such a system would enable precise monitoring of plants and crops, as well as automated execution of various tasks, increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and contributing to a more sustainable use of natural resources. At the same time, the project would create new job opportunities for highly skilled professionals in the fields of mechatronics, programming, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
By introducing such innovations, Slovenia would reinforce its position among technologically advanced countries, enhance the competitiveness of its economy, and contribute to the green and digital transition that are key to the country’s sustainable future development.
