Abstract
THRIVE aims to attract and retain talent in rural areas through culture and creativity, aligning with the Creative Europe programme's Innovation objective. By leveraging expertise from five EU organizations, it enhances rural appeal by preserving endangered ICH. A pilot in Bergamo enables testing a multidisciplinary model for replication across the EU, fostering cooperation, innovation, and sustainability.
Significance for the country
The project represents an important opportunity for Slovenia’s development, as it combines digital technologies, culture, and creativity. By developing an online platform for mapping intangible cultural heritage, it promotes the preservation of local identity and engages communities in modern digital processes. This approach enhances the visibility of cultural assets, strengthens regional cooperation, and contributes to the sustainable development of rural areas. At the same time, the project fosters the digital transformation of the cultural sector and facilitates the transfer of European knowledge to Slovenia, which in the long term reinforces Slovenia’s position as an innovative and creative country.
