Abstract
The goal of NG-MIMA is to revolutionize military avionics by introducing a new era of integrated modular avionics tailored to military airborne platforms. The project focuses on identifying the needs for next-generation avionics, high-level architecture principles for multi-domain operations and security, and key technologies for future solutions. It aims to enhance data sharing, processing, and meet specific development cycles for defense-related missions.
Significance for the country
Participation in the NG-MIMA project brings significant developmental benefits for Slovenia, as it strengthens domestic expertise in high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and advanced data processing. Contributing to the definition of hardware, infrastructure, and the integration of advanced AI and imaging technologies enables Slovenia to develop high-tech solutions, increases the competitiveness of domestic companies and research institutions, and reinforces the country’s position in the international defense and technology sector.
