Abstract
The DEPLOYTOUR project aims to deploy the European Tourism Data Space (ETDS) to drive the digital transformation of the tourism sector. It will implement the ETDS architecture in alignment with the SIMPL framework and demonstrate its value through five pilot use cases across diverse tourism destinations. Deploytour will also develop a minimum viable rulebook and strengthen the tourism data-sharing community.
Significance for the country
The company ARCTUR plays a key role in the project, as it leads the pilot use case for sustainable management of Alpine tourism, participates in the development of the tourism offer through the use of cultural heritage, and is involved in dissemination activities (sharing knowledge and results). This will contribute to: - the development of sustainable tourism in the Slovenian Alpine regions, - better use of cultural heritage to create a diverse and year-round tourism offer, - increasing Slovenia’s visibility as an innovative and sustainability-oriented tourist destination, and - the strengthening of digital and data infrastructure in the Slovenian tourism sector.
