Abstract
The iNTERVENE project addresses pressing challenges in the field of health literacy, with a particular focus on cancer prevention and care for cancer patients. Its overall goal is to improve access to reliable information and strengthen the ability of individuals and health professionals to make informed decisions about health. The University of Maribor (UM) is an active partner in several work packages and coordinates key tasks, the results of which will contribute significantly to the long-term sustainability of the project.
The University of Maribor is an active partner in the project and leads several key activities that contribute significantly to the achievement of the project's objectives. The main tasks include preparing an overview of existing and ongoing projects in the field of health and cancer literacy, developing strategic guidelines for the transfer and dissemination of good practices, and designing materials to raise awareness among the general public and healthcare professionals.
The project is based on cooperation with various stakeholders and users – from health institutions to civil society representatives – which ensures that the solutions are tailored to the actual needs on the ground. Special attention is paid to vulnerable population groups and cultural and linguistic aspects that may affect the accessibility and understanding of health information.
