Abstract
In line with the purpose of the intervention, the Knowledge Consortium for Organic Farming of Slovenia (KEKS) brings together 29 partners, including three faculties from three universities, three public research institutes, one higher education institution, one vocational college, and one secondary agricultural school. Also involved are the public agricultural advisory service within the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia (KGZS) and two of its institutes, two non-governmental organizations operating in the public interest in the field of agriculture and the environment, two private organizations in the field of seed production (an institute and a cooperative), and 13 agricultural holdings (KMGs) involved in the control and certification of organic farming. These holdings represent various production orientations within plant production (arable farming, open-field and protected-space vegetable growing, fruit growing, seed production, nursery production, berry growing with an emphasis on protected-space strawberries and new berries such as haskap, herbs, olives, vines), as well as diverse approaches within organic farming (including biodynamic farming, regenerative agriculture, no-till farming, and farming without the use of animal manure).
