The project aims to solve the problems in processing camera-trapping data to increase the availability of the information-rich data that has already been collected across Europe over the last 10 to 15 years. By working with leading researchers, groups of citizen scientists and stakeholders involved in the collection of camera-trapping data, we aim to identify and then overcome the legal, institutional, social, technical and practical barriers to processing, tagging, organising, sharing and analysing the huge amounts of data that are being collected on a daily basis by camera traps across Europe.
