Abstract
The study of fibre-forming polymers, determination of their molecular, supramolecular and morphological structure and determination of their properties, respectively. Determination of the structure - properties correlation. The study of adsorption properties in correlation to the chemical and structural characteristics of the substrate. Determination of the electrokinetic character of the materials (determination of the dissociation state of the surface groups and free adsorption places on substrate).
Study of kinetic mechanisms and thermodynamic of finishing processes and interactions between substrate and finishing agent. Alternative eco-finishing processes and materials (finishing in supercritical CO2, plasma, inject printing, non-formaldehyde durable press finishing, application of oxygen containing components and enzymes in pre-treatment processes, bio-materials). Study of reological and technological parameters in printing (the influences of thickeners, different chemicals, tenzides). Development of interdisciplinary science of colour; development of computer recipe formulation, introduction of colorimetry in preparation, optimisation and quality control of dyeing processes. The effects of finishing on technological and care properties of textile materials. Development, preparation and some modifications of dyestuffs, polyfunctional reagents, polymers and copolymers. Decoloration of waste water with AOP procedures and sensors development for on line monitoring of technological and ecological parameters in finishing processes and in waste waters. The use of mathematical models (artificial neural networks, factorial analysis, genetic algorithem), advanced analytical methods and new scientific achievements in optimisation, rationalisation and substitution of technological procedures in textile finishing and in waste water treatment.
