Abstract
Technology of production commutators, which are the main elements of the electromotors, consist of moulding the installation compound, shelled with the Cu - bars, sawing the shell and finish machining (inner and outer turning). Abrasivity of the moulding compound and work hardening of the copper demand the use of special tools and specific machining conditions. With the project we attend to investigate the cutting problems, the innovative possibilities in machining and introduce on-line measurement of dimensions supported by quality control of the process in production.
