Abstract
The objective of the research project is an analysis of the role of irony in the self-image, image of the other vz. image in the broadest meaning of the term, in French and Spanish literatures (a selection of texts). The imagological as well as the linguistic and stylistic aspects will be taken into consideration. The analysis will be extended to certain receptive aspects in Slovenian literature, wherever topical.
