Abstract
This research project will be dedicated to locating, collecting, and studying historical sources which clarify Church-State relations from various aspects. It wishes, as objectively as possible, to shed light on the factors that shaped these realtions from mid 19th century onward. The role of several individual Slovenes (Slomšek, and Jeglič, an expert on the Austrian and Jugoslav systems) in Church-State relations and how (un)solved relations were manifested in Slovenia, is brought to attention. Our goal is to help resolve numerous unclarities, biased opinions, and complications that are still present in regard to these questions.
