Abstract
Feed stuff is a critical segment of animal production, on the other side it is important because of its ninfluence on animal produts and consecutively on health of consumers. Through the ecological viewpoint the chemical composition of manure and pollution of environment with phosphates, nitrates and heavy metals dependent on feed stuff. Feed stuff also has to provide minerals for nutrient requirements of animals. Therefore we have to balance very careffuly in supplementation feed mixtures with minerals. Mineral supplements are present on the maket in different forms and with different levels of impurity. This impurities are in different concerntrations toxic for animals and subsequently through animal products dangeur for man health. Because of different availability of the element from different sources and because of interactions between elements it is not easy to reach animal physiological needs. In the research we want to find out how the interaction betwen Zn and Ca influence the animal production parameters: consumation, increase of the body mass and conversion. In the second part of the research we will study the bioavailability of P in different phosphates and mesure levels of their impurity, mainly the presence of Fe, F and Cd. In the nutritional experiments we will test phosphates with favourable chemical composition and define bioavilability of P and Ca. Our research will provide very usefull data about chemical composition, bioavailability and toxicant of different phosphates available on the market. Results will be usefull for feed stuff industry and all animal farms in Slovenia.
