Abstract
In the proposed project the morphological parameters of dialellic cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) hybrids between seven dihaploid lines will be evaluated in a field trial. The combining ability of inbred lines and effect of heterosis will be calculated. Genetic distances will be estimated with 10 polymorphic isozyme systems as markers and relationship between heterozygosity and heterosis will be evaluated. Comparison between morphological and biochemical markers will be conducted. Sporofitic incompatibility - S loci will be analysed by using PCR (polymerase chain reaction) and RFLP (restriction fragment length polymorphism) markers. The aim of molecular analyses is determination of alelles responsible for incompatibility. This will later enable crossings between inbred lines with different form of S locus.
