Abstract
The aim of this project is to revise the formaly and informaly defined stratigraphic units in western Slovenia according to the international stratigraphic code. The selected type sections (holo- and parastratotypes) of two tectonic units, i.e. the Adriatic-Dinaric Carbonate Platform and the Slovenian Basin, will be documented with modern lithostratigraphic and biostratigraphic methods.
