Abstract
The monograph will further elaborate synthetic encyclopeadic expert studies on the history of transport and communication, from Antiquity to present day. It will be based on the hithero published texts, elaborated studies, sources, etc. And will serve as a basis for further inter-eisciplinary researches and will fill a major gap in our inadequate knowledge of the quantity and quality of transport and communication in our land and its connectedness with the rest of Europe. Economic and social consequences of transport and communication will be discussed. It will add to our knowledge of economic circumstances and the development of Slovene space.
