Abstract
The aim of this proposal is to develop and validate analytical methods for organotin compounds in various sample matrices using gas chromatography separation coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS), pulse flame photometric detector (GC-PFPD) or inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (GC-ICPMS) detection. Rapid microvawe extraction procedure will be used for sample pretreatment and results compered to those obtained by well established extraction procedures. Validated analytical procedures will be used to estimate the polution of slovenian marine and freshwater environment with OTC and to study uptake/release, transformation and accumulation pathways for OTC in biological organisms. Stable isotope labelling of particular OTC and their species specific isotope dilution determinations will be used at mass spectrometry based analythical methods.
