Abstract
The following tasks will be done:
(a) extend our one- and two-dimensional numerical models for simulation of flood waves and with use of them propose possible measures to increase safety from flooding;
(b) with the means of improved numerical models for simulation of waves due to operation of HE power plants, we shall propose optimised operations for maximum possible energy production;
(c) chemical and stable isotope analyses will be used to determine the dynamics of biogeochemical cycling of nutrients and different pollutants in groundwaters and surface waters and their influence on the water quality in the Sava and Soča catchments, especially at low discharges and in the reservoirs.
