Abstract
The goal of computer vision research is the development of principles and methods which would enable machines to work in an environment on the basis of visual information. One of the major tasks of a sensor system is its ability to find in the working domain sufficient information for accomplishing a given task. In the proposed project we are concerned with the extraction of geometric information of a scene from the acquired images. The aim is to analyze possible strategies of collecting visual information with respect to different amount of a priori knowledge about the scene in order to extract from images: - quantitative 3D information of objects in the scene or their features, - qualitative 3D information of objects in the scene or their features.
