Abstract
The goals of informatization are: 1. To revitalize audio and film records on the intangible cultural heritage stored at the Institute of Slovenian Ethnology at the SRC SASA; 2. to make all the material accessible to researchers of different thematical orientation and theoretical approaches; 3. to set guidelines for a uniform classification scheme in ethnology and folklore studies; 4. to digitalize the documentation and publish it on the internet (including visual documentation) in an interlinked base, which will be an invaluable source for studying the continuity of Slovenian identity outside our discipline; 5. to set patterns for a more detailed classification based on a) specific archive material; b) selected topics related to Slovenian social and spiritual culture along Slovenia's borders and the border regions of Italy, Austria and Hungary.
