Abstract
Degradation mechnisms that take place in metallic foil capacitors at elevated temperatures and at increased humidity will be investigated. Based on the results of this investigation, appropriate modifications in selection of materials and/or in production techology will be proposed and checked. The ultimate goal is to start a serial production of a metallized capacitor with a world-wide top stability of operation at extreme conditions.
