Abstract
Various aliphatic amines will be tested on their fungicidal activity. With the selected amines, showing the highest fungicidal efficacy, as well as with some other N-donor ligands with already known biological activity, new complexes of metal carboxylates will be synthesised. New compounds will be characterised and used for preparation of new wood preserving formulations. In the preserved wood samples, interactions of new substances and formulations with wood components (cellulose, lignin) will be studied. We will investigate also some other important properties such as penetration depth and leaching. Quality of the preserved wood will be evaluated by European standard test methods.
