Abstract
Chronic heart failure is clinical menifestation of diminished heart pumping function as a result of different diseases. Ischemic heart disease, miocarditis, heart valvular diseases, untreated arterial hypertension, arrhythmias, development anomalies, metabolic disturbances (tyroid dysfunction) are most frequent causes of heart failure. Besides of well established medicamentous treatment of advanced heart failure a novel therapeutic approches emerged. Levosimendan influences cardiac contractility through sensitation of myofibrils for calcium. Stem-cell therapy is another promising method of advanced heart failure tretment. In our research the clinical value of levosimendan and stem cell therapy treatment will be evaluated.
Significance for science
The results of the study were presenten in many abstracts and oral presentatins in the most important international meetings (ACC 2009, AHA 2008, TRANSPL 2007,2008,2009..). The results of treatment of advanced heart failure due to primary dilatative CMP are one of rear in the world. They already have impact on international recommanadtions for the CMP treatment.
Significance for the country
The results of patients treatment both with steam cells and levosimandan have great impact on our clinical practice. The treatment of patients improve, time of in hospital staying is shorted, number of re-hospitalisation decreased, patients quality of life improved.
