Abstract
Nuclear power plants components are classified to safety classes regard to theirs important role in case of hypothetic accidents. Because of the conservative procedures in planning of components, regular inspections in Nuclear power plant Krško show good condition of piping (safety class I). Service life of treat components can be estimated with Usage Factor uk. Classical approach of monitoring of safety of components regard to ASME in nuclear power plants base on comparison between real transient and design transient. This approach is not appropriate for extension of service life of nuclear power plants component. A new method will be developed for good prediction of extension of nuclear power plants components (from 40 to 60 years). The method will base on determination of partial Usage Factor of components in which real transients from nuclear power plant will be considered. The method will be applied to piping of safety class I.
Significance for science
Results of the project contribute to understanding the temperature and pressure fluctuations on usage of nuclear power plants components and possibility of their life extension.
Significance for the country
The results of the proposed project have significant impact on the development of the
Republic of Slovenia in the field of electric energetic, especially in reliable delivery of electrical power and acceptable environment influences.
