Abstract
The research Books and Redares IV will be a continuation of the first three researches, the last one was made in 1984/85, abour the habits of reading and buying books in Slovenia. It will show trends since 1974/75, when the first research was made, but it will include also the research on attitudes of Slovene population towards electronic media and modern informatics. Thus, by questioning a representative sample of Slovene population, fresh data will be available. The research will be comparable with similar European researches.
