Abstract
Research project aims at identifying the conditions for optimalization of didactic materials (textbooks, handbooks) as well as conditions for optimalization of their usage in educational insitutions characteristic of a relatively developed society. The project also aims at describing the roles the didactic discourse contained in school textbooks plays in social production of knowledge, in social and cultural distribution, coordination and control of knowledge. In more concrete terms, the projects is sensed to provide reliable guidelines and criteria for production and evaluation of school textbooks and other didactic meterials on different levels:
- on the level of educational strategy invested in didactic materials
- on the level of conceptual and linguistic articulation of content
- on the level of argumentational structure
- on the level of rhetorical devices used by textbook authors
- on the text-production level (manifest and underlying text structure)
- on the level of visual messages contained in textbooks
- on the level of conveying values, cultural reprezentations and ideological messages
- on the psychological level
