Significance for science
Research results of our project team are related to fundamental problems of nonequilibrium statistical and quantum physics. As such, their main importance is, firsty, the contribution to understanding of fundamentals of statistical and quantum physics, and, secondly, for the development of efficient analytical and numerical computational techniques for the solution or simulation of various interesting models of many-body systems.
Significance for the country
Our research results may have mainly indirect impact for the development of Slovenia. Namely, with our endeavors we perhaps help keeping the contact of our researchers with the cutting-edge developments in the fundamental theoretical science. However, we must not underestimate the potential direct applicability of our research, in particular with the development of new computational methods which might also have a direct impact on the development of Slovenia in the field of nanotechnology.
