Significance for science
On the base of adequate selection of indicator dyes immobilized into ormosil sol-gel membranes we prepard new sensors for the detection of biogenic amines. Literature search in domestic and foreign sources showed that no scientific papers have been published to reported sol-gel optical chemical sensors for biogenic amines detection.
Significance for the country
Contemporary consumers has become more and more demanding regarding the food quality thus requre fresh and tasteful nutrition products with low content of preservatives, extended best before date and inspected food quality. Sensor membrane detects biogenic amines, which are indicators of spoiled respectively fresh packed food. Sensor membranes have huge potential for food manufacturers and is an important novelty. Intelligent packaging makes possible an additional promise about food safety regarding freshness. It is of importance for industrial users due to achive higher added value products, competitive advantage and further good name forming.
