Significance for science
The KPI's identification model, design and its application will significantly contribute to scientific achievements, first of all on the area of business excellence of the companies. Practical experiences of application and adaptation of the model to the company are the basis for new scientific cognitions on the management system area. Beneficiary, Luka Koper, d. d. is the direct user of the project results. The significance of the project for Luka Koper, d.d. is great, because on the basis of the project results the company has recognized the theoretical background of the methodology of KPI's influence on the business results. With the KPI's established list the business strategy can be improved, improvements can be determined and the indicators for the monitoring of strategic directions and vision fulfillment can be focused.
Significance for the country
The indirect significance of the project for society, in addition to promotion and implementation, harmonization, development and research on the EFQM Excellence Model and Balanced Scorecard is also practical training and education of people about the integrated system approach to the management of the companies. The latter include social responsibility, environmental care and sustainable development.
