Abstract
Informative tests show that also modern aluminium killed steels with low content of nitrogen in solution are prone to strain aging. The modification of properties after aging depends on microstructure, which consists of polygonal ferrite, pearlite, bainite, acicular ferrite and tempered martensite. The aim of the project is to quantify the aging intensity and connect the aging to the chemical composition and the thermal history which determine steel microstructure and properties.
