Significance for science
The researches deal with the principle monuments of the Ljubljana Baroque which belong to the top achievements of Slovene art heritage, so the findings are of essential importance for Slovene art history. The upgrade and expand the knowledge about the art of the discussed period and support its reception; because of their international character they are important not only for Slovenia but also for a wider European space. They are also a contribution to other humanities.
Significance for the country
The research is important for the cultural development of Slovenia, protection of its cultural heritage, national identity and education. The investigations are focused on the time, when Ljubljana experienced one of its artistic apexes, therefore they are also relevant for the promotion of the capital and thus of the Republic of Slovenia itself. The theme connects Slovenia with a wider European space and enables international scholarly cooperation.
